Behind the scenes, this town features a group of business owners and residents who form the Newtown Corporation, an economic development body that manages our large public-private partnership.  The mission of this organization is to foster a strong business environment while maintaining harmony with surrounding neighborhoods and preserving Newtown’s rich historical character.

The Newtown Corporation is truly a community alliance, unifying the historic locale with houses of worship, commercial and industrial districts with the landmark residences nestled among us — with an eye on preserving and enhancing our status.  Because the destinies of the Newtown Borough and Newtown Township are intertwined, we build opportunities that meet the needs of Newtown businesses, residents and visitors.

Our cultural assets and historical significance is great. As a community that values its historic appeal, we tap local resources to provide a strong future for businesses and residents alike. Through our marketing partnerships we will continue to promote economic vitality and preservation, marketing our town as a distinct destination for all.

Newtown Corporation is the economic development arm of Newtown Township and Newtown Borough, nurturing our alliance among the Newtown Business Commons Association, Newtown Business and Professional Association and the Newtown Historic Association.
