New York City -THE Skyscrapers To Visit

Visiting New York City is a great way to accomplish so many different things. You can attending sporting events like a New York Yankees game, you can see a Broadway play and you can walk around, visiting some of the most iconic skyscrapers in the country. Let’s take a look at some of the most famous skyscrapers in the New York City area:

40 Wall Street

This skyscraper in 71 floors high and is also known as the Trump Building. It is the 123rd tallest building in the world and the 25th tallest in New York City. This is where the show The Apprentice is filmed and if you look close enough you may catch a glimpse of a famous celebrity or Donald Trump himself coming or going.

Freedom Tower

Located at One World Trade Center, this is the site where the World Trade Center Twin Towers stood prior to the terrorist attack that took place back in 2001. This is the tallest building in all of the Western Hemisphere and the 6th tallest skyscraper in the entire world. The top area of the building is currently functioning as a tourist attraction and there is a memorial outside that pays tribute to those who died in the terrorist attack.

The Empire State Building

This is by far one of the most popular and well known Empire State Realty Trust Inc skyscrapers in the world. One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, it was built back in the year 1931. There is 103 stories in the building and if you include the antenna that is on the top of the building, it is an impressive 1,454 feet tall. The only other building in New York City that is taller than the Empire State building in One World Trade Center. Up until its creation, the Empire State Building was the tallest and most well-known.

30 Rockefeller Center

You may know this area for the yearly tree lighting that takes place. The RCA building, also known as the GE Building has an observation deck that provides an impressive view on the City. Seventy floors and sixty elevators keep this building on the list of the most impressive and famous skyscrapers in the New York City area. NBC studios is housed here and it was built back in the 1930’s.
